I live in the Austin, Texas area with my husband and three kids. We have two amazing young sons and a beautiful special needs adult daughter. I've been a professional photographer since 2013. Before that I was a pastry chef and cake decorator in Austin.
When years ago I began dog walking at the Austin Animal Center(AAC), I noticed how few good pictures some animals had online due to too few volunteer photographers at the time. I began bringing my camera to help out. I joined the photography team and stayed there for 2 years. I began volunteering at a small understaffed local shelter and with Divine Canines training sessions and graduating therapy dog portraits. I have been with Divine Canines for over 4 years and going.
I obviously love pet photography, but also environmental and nature photography. I enjoy spending time with families with small children as well, providing documentary day in the life sessions. I have also begun a personal project involving old and unique vehicles and the space they occupy, very much like vehicle portraits.
The current epidemic has stopped my ability to take on sessions, as we are determined to keep our high-risk daughter safe. I am mainly photographing nature and am considering photographing pet sessions outdoors and with extreme social distancing.
I look forward to hearing about you and your family.
