I live in the Austin, Texas area with my husband and three children. I have been photographing for others since 2012. My professional creative background started in 1992 in the culinary arts, however I moved to photography after our family began growing. We have two amazing sons and a beautiful special needs daughter. I prefer to photograph family life and relationships from a documentary standpoint and really enjoy working with animals and those they love. I also have a ball working with tiny humans, as well.
My favorite images are those that evoke strong emotion and stir the heart. Memories fade as time moves forward. This is why pictures are so very important. They can be what tethers us to a vivid memory of a happy time that has passed or a loved one no longer with us. You can always exist through printed photographs. For this reason, I feel that my work is art and my art is not complete until it has been printed and held in someone's hand. What I hope to give you is a tangible representation of an intangible moment.
On a personal note, I love cooking comfort food, tinkering on the ukulele, and have at least 10 knitting projects going at all times. Oo, oo, oo...and the beach! I look forward to hearing your unrelated notes!
